On the Targets & Benchmarks page, you can see the Star targets that you have set for your students, and you can choose to set new targets or view or edit benchmarks for Star test scores.
How to Get to the Targets & Benchmarks Page
If you are not already on the Targets & Benchmarks page, on the Home page, select Star Reading or Star Maths; then, select Manage Targets & Benchmarks.
If the software goes back to the Home page after you choose Manage Targets & Benchmarks, you do not have the user permissions required to view or manage targets.
Setting New Targets
Targets can be set for students' Star Reading and Star Maths scores ( Unified Scaled Score and Student Growth Percentile).
To set reading practice targets for the quizzes that students take in Accelerated Reader, see Setting Badge and Token Targets for Young Students in the Accelerated Reader Record Book or AR Student Targets for Older Students (Record Book). To set reading certification targets, see Accelerated Reader Certifications (Record Book).
To set new Star targets for your students, select Set a Target.
Then refer to the help for the type of target you want to set:

Viewing Targets
At the bottom of the Targets & Benchmarks page, you can see the Star targets that have already set for selected students. School network administrators can view targets for any class or students in any school. School administrators can view targets for any class or students in their own school. Teachers can view targets for their own classes and students.
First, use the School, Class, and Students drop-down lists to choose which students' targets you would like to see.
- You can only choose a single school or class at a time; if you only have access to a single school or class, you will not need to make a selection.
- For students, you can use the Select All / Clear All link at the bottom of the drop-down list to tick or un-tick all the students at once.
Tick the boxes to choose whether to see targets that are upcoming (the target time period has not started), targets that are in progress and/or targets that are completed (for which the end date has passed).
At the bottom of the page, each type of target that you have set will be listed. (Since students can only have one target of each type at a time, target types will only be listed once for each subject.)
To see the status of a target type for the students, select the arrow to the left of the target type name.
For each type of target, you will see the subject, the date range (and the marking period name if you chose a marking period), the target, the student's actual performance and the status.
For targets that are in the future (the time period has not started yet), the status will be Upcoming. If the target has started, but the end date hasn't arrived yet, the status is In Progress. After the end date, the status shows whether the student has achieved the target (Achieved or Not Achieved).
You can edit a specific student's target by selecting Edit at the end of the row for a student. On the Edit Target page, you can make your changes, and then select Save Targets.
You can also delete a student's target by selecting Delete in the row.
You can see students' progress toward targets in the Target History Report.
Students cannot see their progress toward Star test targets.
